you’re invited for a
captivating day
in the footsteps of ancient and modern jewish history
History, quality, and determination.
On the foothills of the
mountain where Jacob dreamed his famous dream, you’ll stand amid
The
Beit-El
Winery’s vineyards on terraces from the days of the Second
Temple. Torah in
hand, your guide will explain the history of this Biblical region, as
you
explore two ancient wine presses and an oil press in a cave. Discover
other caves
with ancient graves, including the grave of Deborah, the nurse of
Rebecca,
which has become a place of worship for local residents. Take
a quick course
on modern grape-growing and wine production. Then, from a
lookout above the
western coastal plain, peer down toward Tel Aviv and across to the
eastern red
mountains.
The Beit-El Winery produces Cabernet Savignon,
Merlot, and grape
juice. All the work, from the planting to the wine
production, in the fields
and in the winery itself, is accomplished by dedicated Jews who work
the land
and learn Torah.
Optional breakfast or lunch, meat or dairy, including
wine.
